Keystrokes - Self Employed in our Desktop Publishing company. We use Macintosh and IBM PC compatible computers for all normal business functions. Keystrokes has been active since 1984. Our activities include: Consulting for small businesses, editing, contract typing, transcription, graphic design, book layout and design, printing camera-ready copy for printers and publishers, hardware and software systems analysis and repair including networking, hardware installation, operating systems and software. I create and sell PostScript and TrueType typefaces for Macintosh, IBM PCs running Windows 3.x & 95, 98, Windows NT and OS/2 2.x at fontsfordesign.com in partnership with Digital River e-commerce.

1995

The Chronicle - Production worker in the Barton, Vermont weekly newspaper. It is the largest selling weekly in Vermont. My duties included creating advertisements from ad orders, proofing ads and editorial copy, maintaining, repairing and upgrading the 13 Macintosh computers in the office and network administration.

1994

The Engineers Collaborative Inc., a microcontroller development tools manufacturer in West Glover, Vermont during 1993 - Marketing Manager. My duties included graphic design and layout for all promotional literature and manuals, create all advertising copy and write and edit current and new software and hardware manuals. Responsibilities included: learning enough about the microcontrollers and development tools to troubleshoot and resolve conflicts over the phone, data entry and database maintenance. I designed a Printed Circuit Board from a schematic. I aided in software design for hardware interfaces. I performed all bookkeeping procedures except for taxes.

1990-1992

Community College of Vermont - Computer Lab Support Supervisor at the St. Johnsbury site in 1991. My duties included maintenance and troubleshooting of software and hardware on six IBM PC compatible computers and two printers, correspondence with management personnel, advisory panel for school-wide computer use.

Managerial Experience I managed the Motor Pool for a short time while I was in the Air Force in California. I received a commendation from our supervising General for the work I did.
Supervisory responsibility over 12 men working at Valley Forge Christian College, Phoenixville Pennsylvania, at the Heating Plant Operation. Responsibilities included scheduling, hiring, managing the personnel in the daily affairs of the facility, cost estimating, purchasing and coordinating maintenance with other school maintenance operations.
I managed painting crews of up to 5 or 6 people for various employers in Pennsylvania. I was responsible for timely completion of assigned tasks.
I was responsible for training personnel in new procedures at the Chronicle and Custom Photo Art, and managing changes in work flow. I was responsible for tracking and keeping compliance with software license agreements.
